It began with bubbles…

In 2007 I started work at the UK office of the Champagne Bureau, the Comité Champagne - the region’s fierce and loyal governing and support body. A trip to the region ignited a curiosity in this magical creation - I had never previously considered how the bubbles got into the bottle... Learning this drove a life long passion in these wines, and others, celebrating their production, stories and purpose. I do not use the word magical lightly - I think in today’s digital, banal and potentially ‘metaverse’ world, the creation of wine, foods, dishes for sharing in person is the closest to magic we can get.

After a few years at the CIVC I moved to Liberty Wines. Here I worked across both the sales and marketing teams, ultimately becoming Director of Marketing in 2020. One of the roles from which I learnt the most was being Brand Manager for Champagne Charles Heidsieck, building the brand’s reputation and customer base over a number of years. This work gave me in depth experience in to how to build a brand and a successful sales strategy.

In 2021 I moved to Wiston Estate in West Sussex, to head up first marketing and then sales as well - gaining vital experience in the D2C sphere. Being fully on the ‘producer-side’ of the fence was also essential experience in understanding the ‘makers’ needs and challenges. 

Now I combine all my varied experience to help other businesses.
